Hunt One of North America's Most Challenging Waterfowl Species

Arkansas has earned a reputation as one of North America's premier waterfowl destinations, and the agricultural landscape surrounding Tichnor continues to attract thousands of migrating geese each winter.

During Arkansas's regular goose season, we target two of the Delta's most sought-after species:

  • Snow Geese

  • Specklebelly (Greater White-fronted) Geese

Among serious waterfowl hunters, few birds command more respect than the specklebelly goose.

Known officially as the Greater White-fronted Goose, the specklebelly has earned a reputation for being intelligent, vocal, and incredibly difficult to finish over decoys. Their sharp eyesight, cautious nature, and distinctive calling make every successful hunt a rewarding experience.

Fortunately for hunters, the Arkansas Delta sits directly within one of the nation's most important migration corridors.

Each winter, thousands of specklebellies migrate into the agricultural fields surrounding Tichnor and Stuttgart, feeding heavily on harvested rice, corn, and soybean fields before continuing their journey. Our guides spend countless hours scouting these feeding patterns throughout the season. Rather than hunting the same locations every day, we move with the birds to maximize each opportunity.

A successful specklebelly hunt requires much more than simply setting decoys. It demands careful concealment, realistic decoy placement, patient calling, favorable weather, and understanding how these birds react under changing hunting pressure. That's why we dedicate ourselves to scouting, preparation, and adapting to conditions every single day.
